City Government Zero Waste Coordinator, SFEnvironment City of San Francisco

Paul Ledesma is the City Government Zero Waste Coordinator for the City and County of San Francisco and is responsible for waste reduction, recycling, and composting at all City Facilities including, City Hall, San Francisco General Hospital and the George Moscone Center to name a few. For the past three years, Paul has also been the project manager for the annual San Francisco Litter Audit. It was this research that documented the prevalence of cigarette butt litter on San Francisco sidewalks and let to the City proposing the nation's first per pack cost recovery fee for the abatement of cigarette litter.
