Marie Boman is pleased to serve as a volunteer member of the Cigarette Butt Advisory Group (CBAG). She is a passionate tobacco control advocate and researcher that has spent nearly two decades working to promote and create sustainable tobacco-free environments.  Her most recent research efforts focus on biological and biomedical aspects of tobacco use and exposure.  She holds a BS in Health Science with and emphasis on Community Health Education and an MPH in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Promotion from San Diego State University.  She is currently a PhD student in the San Diego State University and University of San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Behavior. Ms. Boman is also a Predoctoral Fellow with funding from the SDSU Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NIGMS/NIH).  She works as a Program Manager/Research Scientist for the Center for Behavioral Epidemiology and Community Health within the San Diego State University Research Foundation.
