Doug Blanke is the Executive Director of the
Tobacco Control Legal Consortium, the legal network supporting the tobacco control movement in the United States. Founder and director of the Public Health Law Center, a nonprofit think tank and legal action center at the William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Doug has thirty years’ experience in legislative advocacy, litigation, marketing regulation, consumer protection and coalition building. As an Assistant Attorney General of Minnesota, he was part of the historic litigation that uncovered the secret internal documents of the tobacco industry. A graduate of Michigan State University and Yale Law School, he was the 2004 recipient of the
American Lung Association's C. Everett Koop "Unsung Hero" Award for his contributions to tobacco control
